April 10, 2018 marked our second year as husband and wife! Our celebration included a stay at the immaculate Hotel Alessandra, a movie date, massages and relaxation time at Fiori Day Spa, being chauffeured in a Maserati (SO FREAKING COOL) to dinner at the impeccable Potente Restaurant in downtown Houston, brunch at Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, which is now one of our favorite brunch spots, and ultimately, just enjoying each other's company. :) Also, we couldn't celebrate a milestone without some pictures, so in true Josh & Mikala fashion, we set up our tripod for some fancy selfies. ;) 

Mikala here! Rebekah is a coworker of mine, so when she came by my desk asking to have family photos done, I was pumped! First, we love fun families. Second, I love seeing my coworkers in real life, for non-work related occurrences! 

Our dear friends, Samantha and Tito, are expecting baby Samara in March, and it was our honor to be part of this step of their lives! Sam looked so beautiful, and the boys were too precious in their matching outfits. ;) ALSO, Josh gained IV's favor when he stumbled upon a trick to make him laugh! (You can see IV just dying laughing in some of the pictures!)

This was our first year of mini sessions, and it is safe to say, we had a blast! We were able to spend time with so many wonderful families, and had so much fun getting to know our new clients and take more lovely photos of our previous clients. Needless to say, this year's minis were a huge success, and I can't wait to start planning for more minis in the future! 

Having been victims of the floodwaters of Hurricane Harvey in August, Angela and Mike made the decision to have an intimate family wedding, in order to focus their attention on rebuilding their damaged home. On November 4, 2017, their plans came to fruition, and they had such a beautiful ceremony at Helen's Gardens in League City!

We had such a fun time at the pumpkin patch with Brittany, Mitch, and their two cuties, Cooper & Brielle at their mini session! Cooper was SO GOOD at saying "Cheese!" We have to give him major kudos there, for sure. ;)

Let me first say, we have absolutely loved being able to see little Emmy grow! (even if it only has been 3 months! haha) This little pumpkin was simply adorable in her strawberry costume, and in the words of Josh, "What. A. Doll!" You know you can't deny it!

It was a perfect day for a September wedding in my hometown of San Antonio! Claudia wanted a cultural celebration, and there is no better place than San Antonio, which is notorious for it's Texan and Hispanic culture!

Happy one month birthday to baby Emerson!  This sweet little one has already grown from when we were able to take her portraits when she was just 2 weeks old! Baby Emmy, you are a lovely and beautiful little girl, and we pray the world for you and your wonderful parents!❤️

The Salinas family is growing, and we could not be more excited for our friends! Baby No.2 is due in March, and we can't wait to see if it is a boy or girl! Sam and Tito, we are thrilled to meet baby 2 and know they will have THE best parents. ;) Y'all can call us anytime for your family's pics!

We absolutely adored our time with the Ryan family! They decided to spend a relaxing weekend in Galveston (one of our most favorite places ever) for Fourth of July weekend, and I'm so glad they decided to take some photos of the family while they were down!

Annie and I have been coworkers for just over three years now, and before Josh and I even began our official photography business, she was one of the first people that was interested in having photos done! Needless to say, we were ecstatic when my she let me know that she and Jose wanted family photos this summer!
