In 2015, Josh graduated from the University of Houston Clear Lake with a BFA in Sculpture, and his passion for the arts has never dwindled. He has created custom art and furniture, played as a drummer for numerous professional artists, and developed a passion for portrait and lifestyle photography.
Mikala met Josh as student leaders at their church in 2013 and have been inseparable ever since. With a professional background in marketing and administration, and a love for editing and setting the scene, Mikala is the face behind JMG Photography's marketing accounts, will second shoot your events, and will work with you to coordinate your perfect session.
We have been married since 2016, business partners since 2017, and parents of our little guy, Tate, since 2022. Let's just say, we make a great team. :)
When we are not behind the camera, we love spending time with our growing family and close friends, and you can often find us in Galveston. There are few things that we love more than getting away on a good cruise, soaking up the sun, and singing karaoke (at least for Josh)!
