Josh and I had such a great time visiting the LA area! Josh had the opportunity to attend NAMM, and in his words, he was "SO PUMPED" to see all of the products and have the chance to meet leaders in the industry. After the convention, my sweet friends came to meet us and keep me company while Josh went to day two, and we were classic tourists- spending our vacation finding the photo ops and good food, and we wouldn't have it any other way! LA, we'll be back- there's still so much more to see!
As beautiful as California is, we are definitely glad to be back in hometown HOUSTON!
(PS- these are just snapshots from our trip, so none of these photos have been edited! They came straight from the camera. ;) Also! Some contributions from Megan! )
Enjoy!

DAY 1- THE NAMM SHOW
While browsing around the booths, we met the innovators of WTC, Welch Tuning Systems, Inc., who we hope to see doing big things in the future! They had such a cool new way to tune drums, which, I'm pretty sure Josh would be the spokesperson for, if they'd let him! After trying their system once, Josh was ready to buy it. BUT, they only had their prototype! We will definitely be looking out for their products! Josh also had the privilege of meeting Scott Johnson, who is a big deal in the percussion world! (Not pictured, he also was able to meet DW Drums' VP, John Good!)
DAY 2- VENICE BEACH
Once Megan and Jacobi arrived, I was ready to take on the town! We started in Venice Beach, and found this ADORABLE love wall on Abbot Kinne! I mean, like, it's freaking cute. We obviously had to take too many pictures. Who would we be if we didn't?
Oh, and Happy Australia Day, apparently?
We finally made it to the beach, and let's be real- what's better than a sunny day and a California beach? Meg just couldn't handle her excitement! LOL
DAY 3- HOLLYWOOD & DTLA
On our way to brunch at Commissary at the Line Hotel (BEAUTIFUL, btw. If you go, get the chorizoquiles!), we saw this fun wall by Chinese Laundry! And duh, we pulled over.
After brunch (we only took iPhone photos, sorry! But seriously, go to Commissary), we did a double decker bus tour! We were chauffeured around and had the wind in our hair. So worth the $25 to not have to drive ourselves, guys!! And we saw the Hollywood sign, which was probably the only thing on Josh's list!
After our tour, we headed over to the famous, Melrose St.! 1. It's Melrose St, so, duh. 2. We had to check Alfred Tea off our list and get the pink drink!
<That's us being followed by "paparazzi". And this is us taking pictures by this cute yellow gate! Which, so happens, to be the future location of Bumble! > LOL
We made it to Alfred and I got my pink drink (Basically a fancy strawberry milk, FYI.) But it was so cute! Also, everyone in the tea shop was basically staring and laughing at us becaue poor Josh was on the floor trying to get that picture of me and Jacobi. LOL I must say, I love how much LA loves pink. <3
After dinner at Taste on Melrose (also SO CUTE. We had the best waiter too, who knew exactly what Megan wanted when she pulled out a phone charger at the table. haha), we had to hit our last "must see" for the day, Urban Light. I'm so glad we waited until the lamp posts were lit to visit! Urban Light is an art installation outside of LACMA, and like most photo op locations, it was filled with couples taking engagement photos, girls in quinceanera dresses, families with their kids, and rando tourists, like ourselves!
Note to visitors, booties don't have much grip to allow you to swing from the lamp post like you may want to try! Just helping a sister out. ;)
